Museum Studies Program at Tusculum College

Program Requirements

Students are required to take six museum courses (four semester hours each) plus a senior internship (minimum 12 semester hours). HIST 322 America In Our Time: From Hiroshima to the Persian Gulf War is also required. Museum courses require participation in site visits and field trips to regional museums. Participation in professional conferences is also encouraged.

Courses are scheduled so that students transferring at the junior level can complete the major requirements in two years. Students with museum work experience may apply for experiential learning credit in consultation with the Director of Museum Program and Studies. Courses are taught by College faculty and visiting professionals in the field.
